Miniature and inexpensive WiFi adapter from Buffalo

The Japanese company Buffalo announced the creation of a new WiFi adapter under the name WLI-UC-GN. Its main advantage is dimensions that are only 16 × 33 × 8 mm (with a weight of 4 grams), which is 88% less (according to the company) than all existing similar devices today.


The WLI-UC-GN adapter is connected to the PC via USB. Supported standards include IEEE802.11n Draft2.0, IEEE802.11g, IEEE802.11b and ARIB STD-T66. The maximum (in theory) data transfer rate is 300 Mbps. The device operates at 2.4 GHz, supports MIMO-OFDM, OFDM, DS-SS, as well as full and half duplex data transmission.

WLI-UC-GN is compatible with Windows XP and 32-bit Vista.
