NVIDIA decided to make some more money on its popular mid-priced GeForce 9600GT GPU.
In the very near future, NVIDIA will launch a special version of this graphics adapter - GeForce 9600GT Green Edition - which will differ from the “regular” 9600GT in lower power consumption. NVIDIA plans to achieve this by using a 55-nm G94-350-B1 chip in the GeForce 9600GT Green Edition, which is characterized by a reduced supply voltage.
Otherwise, the Green Edition is the good old 9600GT. Which has long been an excellent solution for the PC of the middle class, providing sufficient for many games (not the newest, of course) performance. You can only distinguish cards by their ID. The old 9600GT Device ID is 0x0622. The new Green Edition has 0x0624.
