Claims from the Internet provider Volya-Kabel about torrents
Today I received a letter from my Internet provider Volya-Kabel (the largest in Kiev):

We are informing you that Volya-cable CJSC has received a complaint about your violation of the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related Rights". This Law governs the relationship arising in connection with the creation and use of works of science, literature and art. So, paragraph 1 of Art. 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related Rights" defines a list of copyright objects, which, first of all, include literary written works, computer programs, databases, musical works, works of fine art, photographic works, etc.
In this case, a violation of copyright and (or) related rights occurs by transferring the above objects using the Internet without the permission of the subjects of copyright and (or) related rights.
Most often, the following copyright objects are transmitted via the Internet: literary, musical and audiovisual works, computer programs, as well as fine art works, photographs, etc. We draw your attention to the fact that, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related rights "distribution of copyright is possible only on the basis of a written contract, except as required by applicable law.
It is possible that the violation in this case is caused by downloading the specified objects from or to your personal computer or by other actions that violate the rights of subjects of copyright and (or) related rights.
If you share your computer on the network, you can restrict access to objects that can be protected by copyright in order to avoid such violations. If you illegally obtained these objects, you can take measures to prevent their further distribution and use.
Given the above, we want to warn that for violation of copyright and / or related rights you can be held accountable under applicable law.
