GNOME: Turning off the dull effect of minimizing windows

Those who work in GNOME and do not use Compiz (Fusion) should know how poor the effect of minimizing windows is a dull black rectangle, ridiculously reflecting the loop of the hidden window frame. This effect can be removed using gconf-editor : open the / apps / metacity / general branch and activate the reduced_resources parameter. This option is responsible for animation effects that are disabled for machines with limited resources.
