ESET started practicing heuristic methods long before other anti-virus software vendors came to this, says John Hawes, research specialist at Virus Bulletin magazine. “Therefore, ESET NOD32 Antivirus demonstrates fewer false positives in heuristics tests. Thus, ESET is able to perfectly keep the balance between the high level of threat detection by heuristic methods and the low rate of false positives.
