Minuses of budget routers on the example of Zyxel P334 EE
Recently, I wrote about the transition to the Internet provider Onlaym. After one and a half months of work, the impressions remain positive. The provider has not yet observed any gaps. However, I want to share a bit of negative experience installing the router. The article was originally published in my blog, but perhaps the habrasoobschestvo will help with a more correct solution to the problem described below, if there is such a solution at all.
Initially, I only had one home computer connected, and everything worked like a clock. When it was necessary to connect the second one, I decided to buy an inexpensive simple router without Wi-Fi and other excesses. However, I was too lazy to read reviews and relied on the good name of Zyxel - only good reviews have always been heard about their products. Especially in terms of reliability. Looking ahead, I will say that just from the point of view of reliability, no complaints have arisen. I bought an inexpensive Zyxel P-334 EE router.
Since in Onlaym all the TCP-IP settings are automatic, the connection of the router should have been the simplest - turned on and running. In principle, it was so. The original article is left in a personal blog to avoid duplication.
