Last week, the largest consumer electronics exhibition, the Consumer Electronics Show, was held in Las Vegas. Analysts
note the main trend, under the sign of which this event was held this year. This is the ubiquitous penetration of the Internet - on all devices around us.
We have already reported about the world's first
camera with a built-in browser . The exhibition showed a Ford F150 pickup (downloads technical documentation from the Web), a Sony alarm clock (downloads music, a weather forecast and traffic information), an Asustek wall-mounted internet tablet with a touchscreen and much more.
Sony has said that in two years, 90% of all home appliances it produces will be able to go online. In the future, the Internet will be literally everywhere. Asustek representatives said that any flat surface in the house — even a bathroom mirror — would become a computer display. A person will be literally physically immersed in the ocean of information surrounding him from all sides.
We are already close to the implementation of standards for integrating the Internet with ordinary household TVs. The industry is working on how to present information on a TV screen and on a standard surfing interface from a conventional television remote control. LG and Samsung TVs that download digital movies from Netflix and other websites were presented at CES.
