I think, and so we all know what
TraceMonkey is , and why it is needed. From the moment when I last tried to touch what it is, and how fast TM is, compared with a V8 in Chrome, it has been a little over 4 months. What has changed in such a substantial period?
- The version of Firefox itself has changed, if earlier we tested version 3.1b1pre, now 3.2a1pre is waiting for us
- The stability of work has grown, there have been fewer departures, but Yandex Mail did not work either , it does not work, the crit when opening a letter
- Significantly increased the speed of the browser itself, in particular - page rendering. (Although up to the 10th opera is not yet matured).
- Gmail and other services from the Corporation of Evil - work, like no complaints.
- Appetites decreased to RAM, with the same number (and content) of tabs, plug-ins disabled, and uptime at six o'clock Minefild eats 40 meters less memory.
- Most add-ons that worked before do not work. Well, this is, in principle, not surprising. (And if you force some to work, crash happens).
- In some places AJAX does not work, I do not know the reasons.
In general, it is already better than 4 months ago, but judging by the stability of what we have, the RC version is still far away.

What to do? Yes, all you need is to go to the following link:
ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-tracemonkey and pick up the nightly build from TraceMonkey under that OS, under which you want.
If you have problems with ftp, you can get mirrors with http
here .
When you first start, open the settings page (about: config), and make sure that you have
javascript.options.jit.chrome and
javascript.options.jit.content enabled (translated to the
true state). If they are not observed, create new
boolean values with such names.
