This article does not in any way claim to be accurate statistics or official information, but is intended for users who are interested in the popularity of search engines in Russia and who do not want to analyze their own statistics. Information for the article is taken from the site
www.liveinternet.ru , which covers the Runet in statistical terms to the maximum.

Publishing a comparison of secondary search engines, could not get past the giants. The leaders are: Yandex occupying 47.5% (19 million per day) for the last month in the Russian segment and Google occupying 32.6% (13 million).
')

The third and fourth place with a confident separation from both the second and the fifth place is occupied by Mail.ru - the National Postal Service uses the search from Yandex and transmits the results of its issuance on its website through xml and Rambler, one of the oldest search engines with its own database .
The average daily attendance values for the last 4 weeks are about 3.650 thousand users for Mail.ru and 2.473 thousand users for the Rambler, which is 8.5% and 5.8%, respectively.

In the next six current search engines are sites such as start.qip.ru, ru.msn.com, nigma.ru, live.com, icq.com and ru.yahoo.com
The most interesting thing is that from this list, two search engines from Microsoft have an identical search base, even the results of queries from both sites are displayed on one, and therefore it is not very clear why they are included in different lines in the li statistics.
Moreover, the sites qip.ru, nigma.ru and icq.com do not have their own search databases. Two of them (qip.ru and icq.com) completely repeat the results of search engines Yandex and Google, respectively. A search engine nigma.ru uses the issuance of several search engines, mixing it among themselves according to its own algorithms.
And only the Yahoo search engine from the above mentioned ones, as well as the search engine from Microsoft, has its own search base, and I would like to notice from my own observations it updates very often.

Gogo.ru, Aport, Poisk.ru, Metabot.ru, LiveInternet, KM and Gde.ru were in the list of the least popular systems.
All together, the above listed systems make up less than 0.4% of search traffic on the RuNet, however, some of them, for example, LiveInternet and KM do not specialize in search, but are popular resources in other areas.
The review did not take into account the Ukrainian and Belarusian search engines, image retrieval systems, as well as foreign-language systems that do not have a Russian interface.
