The visual design of applications for the iPhone is a new and rather creative business, despite the strict standards set by Apple. I offer you a brief story about how we designed the client for LJ.

LiveJournal.app is a free
LiveJournal client for the Apple iPhone that allows you to write to your journal, as well as send and receive private messages. This wonderful product is developed by
CosySoftware . We were instructed to draw the main icon and a screensaver based on the corporate identity of LiveJournal.
I just now ran into a problem - corporate employees ruffled me and forced me to change the icon + screensaver so that it would more closely match the LiveJournal brand. If they give it away to me, then I will get a white badge with a logo, which is not what I want.

It turned out that drawing simple things is a rather complicated task. It would seem that it is easier to take a pencil from the style of Livejournal and redraw it for iPhone. But the application already had a very nice style, and we needed to do better.

We started from the boot screen:

Then, based on the splash screen, they drew an application icon, which looks quite harmoniously surrounded by native iPhone icons:

But the main icon "in the case." She as if tells us: “Click on me, cat! Well, click! "

Every happy owner of an iPhone can install LiveJournal.app for free if they
visit the product’s page in iTunes.
