I installed Windows 7 Beta1 and even later than the August beta2 version of Internet Explorer 8 is built into it. It differs in a large number of bugs fixed in comparison with IE8b2, as well as new User Interface features specific for Windows 7 applications. I want to tell you about the two most pleasant ones.
The first is a preview of the browser windows and even all the tabs right in the taskbar. Hover the cursor over the IE8 icon and immediately see a preview of all IE windows and all tabs in all windows. Something like the picture below:

At the same time, “leading” with the mouse on thumbnails, we will switch between browser windows / tabs. On which we want to stop (in which we want to switch) - there and click the mouse. Very comfortably. And most importantly, it will work for all users of Windows 7 without the need to install anything extra.

The second feature is called the IE Jump List or, if you want, in Russian it will probably be a “quick jump list” or something like that. It works like this: even if IE8 is not running, we hover the cursor on its icon on the taskbar and press the right mouse button or “drag” the icon upwards. A list of the most frequently visited pages will appear, from which you can choose the desired one. Then click on the desired link and the browser will start with the task to open this particular page. Here's what it looks like:

It is also very cool in terms of usability and simplifying the use of a computer by the most inexperienced users. But after all such people come to the Internet - “new” people, for whom the computer is completely new.
These two new features of IE8 on Windows 7 seemed to me the most striking, and you can read about the new features that exist in this configuration in the IE8 team blog
here . Actually, including this is an example of what new features your desktop applications for Windows 7 may have.
