Preface:
I decided, like before the new year, to put a New Year's screensaver on my work computer. On this machine, there is an Opera, in which synchronization is enabled, and by default the browser searches for information with the Google search engine. Since I have sympathy for the domestic Yandex, I decided not to remove the checkmarks from the checkbox: “make Yandex the default search engine”. I put everything, was glad for the snoring letter I went home. It should be said that at my home, if not strange, there is also a synchronized Opera. Accordingly, Yandex became the default search engine at home. Several times using Yandex decided to return to Google. Still familiar. Climbed into the settings of the Opera and saw that Google had disappeared altogether from the list of search engines, and Yandex took up two positions.
What happened:
the installer renamed the default search engine to Yandex, replaced the search bar, instead of rearranging the check mark on an existing search engine. Well, at least you could add a new search engine.
Results:
IMHO, during our web two-nolnogo Internet should not do such dirty tricks. I know, comrades from Yandex are visiting Habr, I appeal to you: correct, please, this is a misunderstanding and try not to allow them any more, because in the future I intend to use your products.
PS: if someone pushes with the same problem and wants to bring Google back, you should insert this line in the search bar: www.google.com/search?q=%s&sourceid=opera&num=%i&ie=KOI8-R&oe=KOI8 -R
