We are all waiting for the release of Internet Explorer 8. Someone more, knowing for sure that it will be much closer to any web developer, someone less remembering the story of IE6 and IE7. Well, everyone chooses himself, but what exactly will make the browser better is the help of each and every one of us in finding bugs in it. That is, if you want the browser to be better - help and then you will have less reason for a headache. So what can we do. In-zero, download and install the current IE8 beta from
www.microsoft.com/ie8 . It is easy to put (16mb) and easy to tear down, if anything (IE7 that you have is back).
First, you probably know that IE8 has two layouts — one new, with support for CSS 2.1 and other web standards, and the other is the “old” one from IE7. By default, the new IE8 engine works, but the user can at any time reload a specific tab on the old IE7 engine with one button. This is called "Compatibility Mode". This is a powerful thing, but I would like the sites to be rendered on a new engine and developed for a new engine - just by the standards, and they will work much faster in this case. Accordingly, it is in the interests of both Microsoft and developers to make sure that current sites are correctly displayed on the new IE8 engine.
To help with this, install the
Report a Webpage Problem plugin for IE8. Go through the sites that you yourself have developed and try to understand whether they are rendered correctly on the IE8 engine. If it’s wrong and you don’t understand why the existing code can be incorrectly executed by the browser, feel free to send a link to a concrete page with incorrect rendering to Microsoft using the Report a Webpage Problem option in the Tools menu. This tool can also take screenshots that illustrate the problem. “There” will definitely look at the page you sent and perhaps this will help you find the problem and fix it later. From this, the engine as a whole will be better and you will have less difficulty in the future.
Secondly, if you find a problem in IE8, you can refer to the IE8 Known Issues Knowledge Base, which is located at
https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/Feedback/ . There you can search if someone has already found this problem before you and if it is already known, then you can “vote” for it, thus confirming that there is a problem and that it is important to you. This will raise its priority.

Thirdly, if you have found an unknown hitherto error, you need to write directly through the web about it to the
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.beta forum, where enthusiasts, as well as Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 team members from Microsoft, carefully read that they write a new one there. If the bug found by you is truly unique, you will be helped to issue the correct bug report! It is better to write there in English, but as experience suggests, if you write in Russian, someone will immediately translate your text into English so that other participants can understand it and post a commentary on your text. One detail - the topic (Subject) is better to write in English immediately, since then the forum index is better read.
