Google announced that its Chrome browser will be in the "endless beta testing." Users will have three options for updating browser copies, differing in time intervals. Despite the fact that the formal “beta” label was removed from the browser about a month ago, Google reports that updates for the browser will be distributed through the beta versions.
The company intends to abandon a single browser update channel. Mark Larson, Google Chrome's technical manager, says that the Internet company has three different channels through which versions that are in different readiness levels will be distributed.

“Channels, in essence, will provide endless beta testing and continuous user feedback. This mode allows you to quickly adapt new ideas that grow into the final product, ”he says.
Three channels will include a stable preview version, a beta version and a developer version of the browser. Stable in this case means that all the functions implemented here were previously completed and “polished”. The beta version is designed for a wide range of computer enthusiasts, testers and will be updated once a month. "The beta channel will be more stable than the developer one, but here the stability of new and some previously introduced functions is not guaranteed," he says.
The developer version means “a very unstable version”, which, however, includes all the latest features. This option may sometimes require manual browser tweaking.
Initially, users will be offered a small utility that, when installed, will be able to transfer it to a specific channel. Larson says that Google will offer users the widest possible access to the browser, which is not offered by other developers, such as Microsoft or Mozila.
The latest developer version (2.0.156.1) was released last Thursday. This includes new features on auto-complete, predicative input and some other improvements. Also, this version comes with a new version of the WebKit engine and a new version of Google’s own development, the Javascript interpreter V8.
