Podcast fading (podfading) is when a podcast is released less and less, and then disappears altogether. If you go to any podkasterskuyu site, then immediately struck by the fact that the vast majority of podcasts there are abandoned podcasts that have not been released for a long time. For example, if you take a
random section on the Russian Podcasting website, then 43 out of 46 podcasts belong to abandoned channels. Two more are trial issues (which are also unlikely to turn into permanent transmissions). And this is still a bright picture, because the content of some
other section has long been covered with cobwebs.
How does podcast fade out? At first, a podcaster enthusiast tries to record new programs every day. Then he becomes less enthusiastic. The release of the transfer is delayed. There are always a lot of reasons for this: employment or running out of money, or was in a bad mood ... but you never know. After such a delay, the decay process is very difficult to stop. The next issue of the transfer appear late, and then disappear altogether.
New podcasts appear every day, but 99% of them do not live long. Maybe only 5% of podcasts live to the tenth release.
