ZyXEL chooses Opera for a new line of set-top boxes

Opera Software has entered into an agreement with ZyXEL Communications, according to which Opera Devices 9.5 SDK will be used to develop software for a new line of television set-top boxes running Linux. Using the development tools from Opera Software will create a user interface, menus and various applications. Naturally, one of the most important functions of the set-top box will be to provide access to the Internet and to fully utilize the capabilities of the worldwide network directly on the television screen.
