AllofMP3.com again made a “meeting” in court
New weighty pebble fell in the garden AllofMP3.com . Today it became known that a number of world record majors filed a class action lawsuit against Mediaservices, which owns the ill-fated online store.
According to Interfax , Warner Music, Sony BMG, Capital Records were among the plaintiffs. They accused Mediaservices of gross copyright infringement and are demanding to prohibit the sale of music content on AllofMP3.com. The trial will be conducted by the court of the southern district of New York.
This is not the first lawsuit to attract respondents to AllofMP3.com hosts. At the end of June this year, the British Phonographic Institute began litigation with Mediaservices. However, it is not clear how much justice there has progressed in resolving the conflict. The Russian online store does not deduct due to Western holders royalties to right holders. The owners of AllofMP3.com continue to insist that their business does not violate the laws of the country.

More than once, the Recording Association of America (RIAA) and the International Federation of the Recording Industry (IFPI) tried to hinder the prosperity of the site. The latter filed several complaints to the Moscow prosecutor's office against top managers of Mediaservices Vadim Mamotin and Denis Kvasov. The prosecutor's office server AllofMP3.com withdrew, but the site "lay" all day. For longer, the sale of cheap music did not stop.
Even the sanctions of the companies Visa and MasterCard, which forbade their partners to accept payments for purchases on AllofMP3.com, didn’t matter. At least, representatives of the online store claim that the "conspiracy" of payment systems has not had a strong impact on sales. But if AllofMP3.com is mentioned as a barrier to Russia's accession to the WTO, Mediaservices prefers to respond radically. An example is the recent statement by Vadim Mamotin that the US government uses AllofMP3.com only as a pretext to secure new concessions from Russia.
