Internet offerings

Sacrificial ram Every year the Network is increasingly influencing the life of all mankind as a whole, expanding the boundaries of communication between people in all spheres of life. But only recently, the Internet was recognized as a tool worthy of entering the religious side of each person’s life. And in its development, apparently, all religions go flush.

Reuters reported on Tuesday that a special Pakistani website has declared its readiness to provide a very specific, but, as it turned out, a very demanded service to everyone. The holy for Muslims holiday Kurban-bairam (or, in Arabic, Eid al-Adha) takes place in the final period of the Hajj and involves the holding of a rite of sacrifice, similar to what, according to legend, Abraham performed at the site of present Mecca. A ram (from one person), a cow or a camel (from a group of seven) is sacrificed. This year Kurban-bairam falls on December 31st.

It is absolutely clear that Muslims living in Western countries have practically no opportunity to perform such a rite for a number of reasons. However, in Islamic countries, where the wind has come the new time, a busy person often simply does not have time to complete all the preparations for the holiday and conduct the ritual. In such cases, as a representative of the religious charity Al-Khidmat explained in an interview with Reuters, people can turn for help on the side, and there are no undoubted obstacles not to use the Internet for this.

The society conducting the sacrifices undertakes to observe all the rules and distribute the meat of the killed animal to the poor. And the organization of the Alamgir Welfare Trust will even allow those who wish to personally follow the rite through a webcast. In this case, the sheep will have to pay $ 150, and for the cow - $ 450.

Orthodoxy, by the way, is also characterized by an increasingly calm Internet adoption for the administration of such religious needs as confession and even church attendance itself - the lampad's sensational program allows you to light a candle in a virtual temple. However, the priests still warn that it is appropriate to use the Network for such purposes only if it is not possible to personally visit the church.
