We often read in the news that scientists have made another discovery in another industry, and this will make another revolution in it. But this is only part of the research in a large number of projects. About American studies have heard almost everything, turning to European projects over the past few years. There is a scientific network called Future and Emerging Technologies ( FET ), which is part of the Community Research & Development Information Sevice ( CORDIS ), organized by the European Union. In this network, scientists of the European Union are developing new computer architectures, low-cost and high-performance processors, scalable network systems, new operating systems, robots, new tools for man-machine interaction. These inventions are already being implemented or will be implemented for about 15 years.
