Channel 9 - how we found Surface in the Redmond corridors

While on a business trip to Redmond last summer, we and my colleagues, Gaidar Magdanurov and Roman Zdebsky , decided to wander around the Microsoft campus buildings abandoned on Saturday.

To our surprise, right in the corridor of one of them, we found the Surface - a digital table, about which probably many have heard, but not everyone saw its capabilities. Therefore, we decided to make a small video for the Russian Channel 9 , which I am happy to present to you today.

I recall that despite all the specific physical stuffing, in terms of visualization technology, Surface uses a full-fledged Windows Presentation Foundation. And at the PDC conference, the Surface SDK was announced last fall. In addition to the libraries themselves, it also includes an emulator that allows you to simulate a digital table on a regular computer. The SDK is still issued by invitation, but you can watch it at work on the session record Developing for Microsoft Surface .

The video is on a special page - in the form of a Silverlight player, download links in various formats and of course space for your comments. Enjoy watching.
