Hewlett-Packard has brought its ultra-compact ten-inch
HP Mini 2133 notebook to mind. The new version is called the HP Mini 2140 and differs from its predecessor by a new processor (Intel Atom 1.6 GHz instead of VIA c7) and a screen with a higher resolution (1366x768 pixels versus 1024x576 in the old model).

The old screen, however, is available (with it the laptop is a bit cheaper), but only as an option. Also, the computer has 2 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive or a 80 GB solid-state drive.

The HP Mini 2140 supports the latest Wi-Fi standard, 802.11n, and comes preinstalled with Windows Vista, SuSE Linux or DOS. In the US, the car will start selling already this month at a price of 499 dollars.
Along with the HP Mini 2140, the accessories for it were released: a docking station, a mobile audio system and an external DVD-RW drive.
PS Let's hope that with the new processor it will no longer be so shameless to slow down under Vista.
