Thermaltake and AMD are preparing a micro freon for video cards

The press service of Thermaltake Technology announced the beginning of a close cooperation with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in the development of a version of the advanced thermal cooling system Thermaltake Xpressar Micro Refrigeration Cooling System specially optimized for the needs of ATI Radeon HD 4000 series video cards. It is reported that the modification of this solution using freon, intended for graphic adapters, as well as in the case of its original version for central processors, will make it possible to lower the temperature of video chips more efficiently by 20 degrees on the Celsius scale in comparison with the traditional "edema". It is also noteworthy that a special microcircuit will follow the temperature regime in order to prevent the formation of condensate. It is especially noted that the main components of the system itself can be placed in the 5.25-inch compartments of the desktop PC system unit (recall that the Thermaltake Xpressar Micro Refrigeration Cooling System for the CPU is now sold only with a specific model case).

It is expected that a public demonstration of the existing prototype of the product will be held at the January international exhibition CES 2009 in Las Vegas, which only a few days left before its opening.
