Update: Since this post was written a long time ago and the information in it is a bit out of date, if you want to learn Ruby On Rails, please go to this page:
snitko.ru/learn_rails.html , I tried to explain everything in detail.
***
I’ll be right here offering private lessons to people who want to get familiar with Ruby and learn how to implement web applications on Rails. We will discuss and draw up an individual lesson plan, outline goals, work on your own ideas and projects and, if you wish, I will gradually connect you to the development of my new interesting project.
')
Conditions are discussed individually.
Contacts on
snitko.ruUnder the cut there will be a little about me and a little more about my offer.
About me
I have been working with Rails for a year, have made my own project,
teachmate.org , now, I am working with several other people on a new project. Naturally, in addition to Ruby itself, I can
html, css, javascript & jQuery, configure
mongrel cluster, nginx and the ubuntu server as a whole. I use
git, vim and bash in my work . I profess
TDD , I use
rspec .
I can not call myself a Ruby guru, but over the past year I have pretty well figured out Ruby and Rails. In addition, I am interested in all kinds of research and materials related to teaching methods and the effectiveness of education, I wrote a couple of posts on this topic (
one ,
two ).
The idea of employment is not new, but very few people really understand how effective this can be, so when I wrote to the Googlegroup a year ago about what I was looking for a teacher, most responded that I would rather go read books and wrote the code. Of course, I already did all this, but I needed more: I needed a person who could competently explain difficult moments and speed up the process. Then
Oleg Andreev responded to my proposal, with whom we had been working for about 8 months. We just met once a week in a cafe with laptops, wrote the code and discussed the issues. During this time, Oleg helped me very cool to enter Ruby and make a project. So money and time invested in classes can be considered completely justified.
Now, I myself would be interested in acting as a teacher. Knock, write. It will be interesting.
