Remote DoS of Nokia S60 phones using SMS / MMS

At the 25th conference of Chaos Communication Congress, Tobias Engel demonstrated to the public the found vulnerability in Nokia phones, to which the following phone modifications are subject:

• S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2
• S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3
• S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1
• S60 3rd Edition (initial release)

You can take advantage of the vulnerability by typing in a special way written SMS, no additional software is required.
The most serious consequences of receiving such SMS will be for 2FP3 / 3FP1 phones. These phones will stop sending and receiving SMS / MMS, after which the only way out of this situation is a hard reset.
