Google has decided to
declassify some of the details of how their data centers are arranged. It turns out that they work on an exclusive gland, which up to now has not been anyone. These are unified motherboards that support only 12 volts, designed specifically for Google. Each of them has two x86 servers installed.
The first Google system integrator was
Rackable Systems . It is this company that was one of the first to promise to release into the free market
similar solutions (12V boards without the support of other voltages), which have proven themselves at Google well. On each board, there are two servers (up to 88 servers in a 44U rack and up to 8 hard drives per unit), a little later, there will be boards on which you can build 4 and 6 servers.

At present, the main manufacturer of such super-efficient mini-servers is
Supermicro , but even they do not release and do not plan to release motherboards with only one voltage of 12 V.
