I read here a
topic about using hotkeys to work with groups of files, and decided to help a person. At the same time improve your knowledge of
Autohotkey , well - and what the hell is not joking - increase the popularity of this excellent program on Habré. In general, here's a
script for grouping / ungrouping files in explorer . Convenient when raking a homogeneous mass of files into separate groups, for example, when sorting your home collection of photos, music or movies.
It works very simply: select the files / folders you want to group, press Ctrl + G - and they all appear in the newly created Group1 folder (or Group [N + 1] if GroupN already exists). If you press Ctrl + Shift + G on the selected folder (s) - their contents are transferred to a higher level (that is, in your current directory), and the folders themselves are deleted.
For the script to work properly, it is necessary that the address bar of the explorer shows the full path to the current folder, as well as the extensions of all files.

Disclaimer : The script was tested on two computers, and it worked quite well (it does not always ungroup the first time). However, of course, I am not responsible for possible errors in the script, you use it at your own peril and risk.
