earlier I already talked about how I, being not an experienced person, decided to try on my own, for the sake of interest, to increase the attendance of the non-commercial project
Gythology . Just a sporting interest, no ambition and commercial gain. (Imagine, sometimes it happens!). In addition, initially, I do not plan to spend on this serious money and too much time. This is not my life's work and I have another job that brings me money.
In general, after the lyrical digression, I continue my narration:
First, I published the news on Western and Russian sites, including on the
advertorial and on
Habré, and secondly, I placed an advertisement in the Yandex.directory on the keywords "gift, March 8, new year ...", and third, my friend, the blogger
Sholademi published an essay about our project, well, in the fifth, I launched a word of mouth radio among my friends.

At this stage, given the passions around the Christmas and New Year holidays, site attendance ranged from 200 to 600 unique visitors per day. This is very small, since I seriously believed that a much larger number of people have difficulty with the selection of a gift, in other words, I relied on at least 1000 a day.
Sending news to Western resources did not give anything, my link was simply lost among millions of similar ones. Unfortunately, and perhaps fortunately, activity on Runet has given the greatest results.
In the first place - Yandex.direct, about 2000 visitors, and only $ 50 was spent (!)
In second place -
Sholademi - his post immediately scattered over 1500 friends in LiveJournal, plus to some, some people got the news and made short essays on their blogs

vladmradio ... In total, thanks to him, it came somewhere then 1000 visitors
On the third - the
publication of a post on Habré , which in total gave about 500 visitors
On the fourth - quite unexpectedly, the post on
weblinks.ru gave as many as 215 visitors.
All other sources of welcome visitors were small and writing about them means to bore you, dear reader.

The conclusions I reached in the first two weeks of the existence of
hyphology :
a) no freebies are foreseen, you need to work further
b) Yandex.Direct is a source of stable attendance, and is very inexpensive
b) friendship is more precious than money, thanks sholademi
c) access to the world Internet is not as simple as it seems. We need to look for approaches. In the Russian segment is somehow simpler and nicer
Today, to my surprise I discovered that a similar service has already existed since June of this year and it is very strange that I have not found it before, because I have repeatedly monitored py and the Internet ... The service is called
http://www.webpodarok.com/ , the concept is similar, but I give my word of honor, I did not invent a plagiarist and haftology myself! After studying this site, I realized that for the time being we have nothing to fear and there can be a great future in hyphology :-)
As promised in the last post, I tell about my
plan B. Today I signed up for
google.adwords.ru , and in the very near future I’ll start to run budget shows targeting English-speaking countries. Let's see what comes of it. All the same, my final goal is the exit to the west. I will report on the progress of the operation.
If this is not a ride, then I will surely leave for the taiga, settle in a lonely hut, release the beard and meditate.
