According to the British regulator Ofcom, at the end of September, 88.2% of UK households received digital television.
The quarterly report of the media regulator shows that compared to the same period in 2007, the number of digital receivers in the country increased by 3.1%. This means that digital TV is viewed in the 22.5 million homes of the United Kingdom. In addition, by the end of September, 60% of households had two televisions that received a digital signal, which is 5% more than in the second quarter. A total of 72% of the country's TV sets show digital broadcasts, which is 3% higher than the previous quarter.
According to Ofcom, more than 9.3 million, or 36%, of houses received satellite television in the third quarter. 8.8 million homes (93% of the total number of satellite customers) watched satellite pay channels. ')
Almost 41% of households (about 10.4 million) receive free digital TV.
