First and foremost, "We did it!". Everything is real, from scratch at the beginning and launched
site in a week.
It was very difficult, and we did not realize all our plans. But there are a lot of significant advantages. Let's see together what is still more (positive or negative).
Before considering the
result of the work , a few words about the format of the event and the show itself. Yes, the show was not. It all started so quickly and not thoughtfully, that I had to choose between the result and the entourage. On the other hand, the important point of such a start was the fuse itself. Thinking about a week-month, we could change our mind many times, without starting anything and implementing nothing. And so the promise is given, there is no way back, it must be done. Agree effective method. Once again for everyone disappointed with the lack of passions and webcams - we are ready to make a real show at the second attempt, we will thoroughly prepare and do it, the benefit is now there is experience.
Pros:* Fidbek surpassed all expectations. We contacted and offered help and collaboration designers (thanks to
Denis for the site design, and Slavik for the "
StartupWeek " logo), programmer (thanks to
Cyril for finishing the
LiveStreet engine),
startups (do not list them,
see you at the SP meeting on January 25 ) and investors (
AddVenture plans for StartupPoint'a big, follow the announcements).
* Clearly defined the concept of a startup. It was adjusted based on the proposals of the target audience. For example, the site will feature multi-industry start-ups (not just IT). We will also try to collect all investors of the Runet in one place. Prior consent to participate in the project life was received from 4 investment funds and 3 business angels.
* The team was tested for loyalty to the case, the ability to participate in heavy projects. There are new members
* We managed to realize a lot: to work out the concept, to make a prototype, design, layout, decode, test, assemble a context
* Now we can expand to the regions

')
Minuses:*
The site needs serious refinement. Of the planned work on the site functionality, 70 percent managed to do.
* Lost a lot of time was lost due to “not in time having changed my mind about freelancers”, distractions to surf, calls, sleep, food, chatter
* your comments
What conclusions:* I didn’t initially deny that there was very little of a week even for creating a website, and not for launching a startup. It was an experiment, and, I believe, still a good one.
* BUT, the first version needs to be rolled out as quickly as possible, in order to check whether it is necessary for someone or not, to get feedback and do what users want, and not something that non-representative developers themselves have thought up.
* To do this quickly do not reinvent the wheel, take ready-made solutions - cms, plugins for them, design templates, etc. If a start-up is shooting or there will be all the prerequisites for this, it will be possible to invest and make candy, increasing the loyalty of the existing community. Otherwise, why do you need a candy for yourself when there are no users.
* You can not postpone the great plans for tomorrow. The best time and place to start action is
HERE and
NOW .
Even in a week you can do something important, necessary, useful, for example, to start a business.
If they want to do something similar. We can even help you with this, at least with advice from experience.
We wish courage for the first step and Happy New Year.
