ICQ warned of the dangers of using a number of instant messaging programs, including QIP, QIP Infium, Jimm, Mail.ru Agent, Miranda and Jabber, according to an official ICQ press release.
Representatives of the company argue that users of instant messaging services should beware of unauthorized or non-ICQ “imitator services”, because customers may have difficulty connecting, reports CyberStyle.
ICQ also warned that for users of such programs increases the risk of hacking or password theft.

In addition, the company again spoke about the supported versions of the program: multifunctional version 6.5 and ICQ Lite. She noted the latter as a new, light and fast version of ICQ, which weighs half as much and is not accompanied by advertising banners.
Other supported versions of ICQ, such as Rambler-ICQ, are joint official brands.
Recall that on December 9, ICQ Lite did not allow you to connect to the ICQ network, reporting the wrong number or password.
