New Linux kernel version 2.6.28 has been released.

Last night a new version of the Linux kernel was released with the number 2.6.28.

Regarding the release of the core, Torvalds wrote the following note, making you smile:

It doesn't matter what day it is, or whether you celebrate a holiday today, because even if you sit at home in your damp basement, alone, without any friends or holidays, I will bring you the spirit of a good mood: you can download Linux- 2.6.28 and fill your heart with happiness after compiling it!



Listen to the joyful humming of your hard drive after you load a new kernel - and I am sure that if your computer could smile, there would be a wide silly grin on its non-existent face. So since you are already sitting in your basement, give a holiday to your computer.

In fact, even if you have friends or family, leave them with endless messing around with a turkey or ham ham, and at night, when they go to sleep, you can give them a magical gift: an updated computer. And the next morning, tell me what you saw Santa coming down the chimney with a flash drive in hand to upgrade the OS to all the good boys and girls.
