Publishing house "News Media" (publishes the newspaper "Life" and "Your Day") enters the market of IT outsourcing. The company is building a data center worth $ 35-40 million, the main client of which is the Internet portal Mail.ru. The mail portal has already rented 50 racks, and is going to rent about 250 racks in a year and a half (this is a quarter of all data center capacities).
Part of the racks will take their own project “News Media” - the portal of video news Life.ru.
The opening of the “Hosters” data center will take place on January 15, when the first floor of the two-story building will be put into operation, and all the work will be completed at the end of 2010. The total area of ​​the data center will be 2 thousand square meters. m, which will accommodate 1000 server racks (25-30 thousand servers), the bandwidth of the communication channel will be 50 Gbit / s.
