Death to doorways, or search results in pictures.

The new search engine Pagebull gives the results in the form of screen shots of sites containing hyperlinks. The idea of the developers is to facilitate viewing of the found sites. Now you do not need to open all the pages by clicking on the text hyperlinks of ordinary search engines, but you can determine the desired site visually in advance.

Pagebull provides screenshots in a grid of 2, 3, or 4 columns depending on the size of the browser window or individual settings. For normal operation of the search engine requires activated JavaScript and broadband communication channel. Pagebull does not support some older browsers. Currently, the system does not contain sponsored links, but in the near future they may appear.

In connection with the use of images, the question of protecting the copyright of the owners of sites indexed in the Pagebull system cannot but arise. The terms of use of Pagebull determine that this search engine is intended only for individual use, and the search results cannot be placed without the consent of Pagebull on other sites. “Pagebull cannot guarantee that the results will not contain incorrect or offensive content,” the agreement says.

Recently, visual search engines are developing very actively. Thus, a promising startup Quintura with a development center in the Moscow region is the owner of the search results visualization system of the same name. In the results, this system produces a visual map, where words similar in meaning to the query are displayed.
