December 20-21, BikeCamp 2008 was held at the Institute of Journalism of the BSU - a non-conference in the barcamp format.
More than 200 participants from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Germany attended the non-conference, presentations of several new projects were held in four session audiences, web developers conducted active discussions on professional topics, bloggers, podcasters, designers, people with diverse interests actively communicated talked about successful solutions in the Belarusian sector of the Network.

4Invest , an innovation incubator at BSUIR, where young developers are actively experimenting with high performance computing, are advised on the implementation of business projects involving venture capital, was a real discovery for BikeCamp participants. . BikeCamp was the answer to the demands of the emerging online technology sector, where developers lacked communication with potential audiences, colleagues and investors.

On the second day of BikeCamp, thematic discussions were held in a comfortable atmosphere (bloggers, podcasters, online journalists, web application developers — open source fans), with the participants themselves organizing, moving from one party to another.

Bigmir and a number of others who freely and on equal communicated with all those interested participated in the non-conference. People received direct answers to the most tricky questions for companies whose representatives were not afraid to share insider information.
According to the feedback from participants, a number of new projects received excellent feedback and prospects for financing, and companies received the opportunity to directly communicate with developers and active users of their services.
