Sony is preparing a revolution on January 9

Sony decided to torment all the fans with a little wait and launched the website of the upcoming VAIO, which doesn’t say anything significantly except for one fact: on January 9, the company will present us with its new product, supposedly umpc / netbook. It is worth saying that despite the fact that there are ultraportable laptops in the Sony lineup, it’s impossible to call them netbooks for many reasons, ranging from stuffing to price. The netbook market, regardless of the crisis, is growing from month to month and, of course, Sony would be strange guys, not deciding to earn their dollar on general hysteria.

American blogs say that this will be the same model, a picture of which leaked from the FCC a few weeks ago. It’s too early to talk about what is on the netbook and what’s not, but 3G support is promised.

In the meantime: Sony has registered a huge number of trademarks, but those listed in the user agreement of the new promotional site are: AIWA, Sony, VAIO, Walkman, Trinitron, i.LINK and Memory Stick.
