The ceremony of awarding the "Student startup of the year"
On December 12, the Cultural Center of the HSE hosted the Student Startup of the Year award ceremony established by the Business Incubator of the Higher School of Economics (ww.hse-inc.ru) together with the British Higher School of Design (www.britishdesign.ru).
The program of the evening also included the birthday of the HSE Business Incubator, which turned 2 years old, and the presentation of a new educational program on entrepreneurship called Design Thinking.
The main event, of course, was the announcement and the ceremonial rewarding of the laureates of the “Student Startup of the Year” award. The main purpose of the award is to encourage beautiful and effective entrepreneurial decisions, to note a creative approach to building a new business created in conditions of limited resources.
The decision was made by a competent jury, which included:

* Dmitry Molchanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Domostroy company and founder of Dom.ru
* Leonid Feigin, creative director of Direct Design Studio, Visual Branding

* Vladimir Kuptsov, AVK-Media
* Andrei Golovin, Advisor, Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange
* Alexander Avramov, Director of the British Higher School of Design in Moscow

Leonid Feigin, co-owner and creative director of Direct Design Company Visual Branding and author of the visual communication course at the British School of Design, spoke at the award ceremony. In his speech, he linked the theme of good design and building a successful business.
In the final part of the ceremony, Dmitry Repin, professor and head of the business incubator of the State University Higher School of Economics, made a speech. He noted the following: “The budget of our event is approximately 2000 times less than the youth innovation convention that took place at the beginning of this week. And the result - may be more modest, but not by much. Once again I want to emphasize the difference of principles that we want to emphasize. A convention is a management, that is, a distribution of existing resources, and what we do is the essence of an entrepreneurial approach — with limited resources, we are achieving quite serious results. ”
