Hello, readers of the site Habrahabr.ru!
My name is Alexey (
c0deX ) and I would like to introduce my project to you. Due to the inability to write articles, I asked my friend
Nicholas to post this article.
I think it is necessary to first say what this article will be about: a startup I launched about a month ago - the social network of movie lovers -
Dream Cinema .
Recently, the number of all social networks and services providing various services and opportunities has dramatically increased, but I have never found a community entirely dedicated to the film industry. That is why it was decided to create such a project.
The main impetus was the constant questions of various people, as well as our friends in IM, chat rooms, for example: "Guys, advise a good movie for the weekend." And there are a lot of such questions. I admit, I myself do not always know what an interesting film I can watch now, although I try to be aware of the latest events.
')
All of the above confirms once again: the target audience is large, but many are simply not sufficiently informed, that is, a source of information is needed. So I decided to make this project a source.
Reflecting on the structure and future type of resource, I came to the conclusion that HabraHabr should be followed in all respects, since it is the self-managed system of collective blogs that, in my opinion, gives people the greatest opportunity for their communication.
After reviewing the various CMS that implement similar functionality (this is LiveStreet, BigStreet, Pligg, Explay, etc.), I settled on the latter - Explay. In my opinion, this is quite a serious product with good architecture and opportunities for customization and expansion. By the evening of the next day, I had already chosen a name for the project - DreamCinema, and soon the eponymous domain was registered in the .ru zone
Well, as always it happens, at first I was faced with a problem - how can I promote my resource? Well, of course, these are search engines, thematic forums, online communities, various websites, etc. But over the past month really did not achieve anything. Random people came in, registered and left in a day or two.
Actually, that's the whole story. I would like, dear readers, to hear your opinion on this project: is the idea relevant to how to promote your resource?
Also, to everyone in one way or another to help in the development of the project, I will be very grateful. You can contact me at: fftopky@gmail.com or local mail.
