Global Antivirus Testing

LJ-user werewolf_hans tested 13 antiviruses. Within six months, he alternately set them on his collection of viruses, and talked about all the nuances of working on his blog.
Those who are not interested in the details: from paid antiviruses, Kaspersky Antivirus 2009, and F-Secure Anti-virus 2009, best of all, Avast! Antivirus 4.8 and Avira Antivir.

Yesterday the summary test results were published: werewolf-hans.livejournal.com/140018.html
In this topic, no details are given (for each antivirus, they are listed in the appropriate post), and for those who just want to get acquainted with the results, I will give the conditions for testing:

In stock:
Virtual machine with Windows XP SP3 - 1 pc.
Antivirus known companies - 13 pcs. (one per virtual machine clone) All versions - only the current final release. No beta versions and other things.
A collection of viruses before 2007 (and a little bit of 2008) - 104133 viruses (one hundred four thousand, one hundred thirty three viruses, this is for those who might think that I put extra tidings :)), stored in a separate folder in a safe form (with remote file extension) and named according to the name of the virus.
In order for the antivirus to pass the test, it must leave behind no more than 1000 of the viruses suggested, exactly perform the specified scan actions, and also perform everything without a single error, restart the OS, hang, etc.
All tests are conducted on databases with the latest updates.
Antivirus is installed on the virtual machine and is run by scanning with the maximum settings for this accumulation of viruses. The result is recorded.
