United Keys OLED Display - Optimus Maximus Cheap

Engadget bloggers got into the hands of a great copy of a keyboard with keys on an OLED basis, its name: United Keys OLED Display Keyboard (to tell the truth, the display keys are only on the keypad).

As Engadget notes, there is absolutely nothing stunning in this gadget - you get exactly as much as you give money, and yet the product is good and, to some extent, unique. In addition, the “Optimus Maximum” stamp for those who are not ready to spend $ 1500 adheres very well to it. By the way - it costs so much fun $ 200.

The keyboard when connecting (USB) installs all the necessary drivers on its own, but even if there are any difficulties with this (as happened with the guys from Engadget), then there is no problem to download the software from the official site. The biggest obvious drawback of the United Keys device is the lack of Mac and Linux support, but in the second half of 2009 (when, if “everything works out”, this gadget reaches us), the company promises to correct this misunderstanding.

Monochrome key-display resolution: 64 by 64 pixels. The software supplied in the kit for assigning bitmaps to keys is easy to learn and use (albeit somewhat ambiguous), and the OLED keys are bright enough to not spoil your viewing experience from different angles. And although the overall impression is slightly below average, United Keys will certainly have time to hone some points during the production. And - yes, the version with color keys is also planned, although it will obviously be worth the best money.
