Adobe AIR for Linux comes out of beta

Yesterday, Adobe released the official release of AIR for Linux , so now the Linux version is not inferior to Windows and Mac versions. Actually, now all three versions are absolutely unified, and in the future releases will be released simultaneously.

The new release has full support for Flash 10, including 3D effects, high-resolution text rendering, customizable filters, and DRM support. All of these features are important for serious media applications, such as photo and video editors.

After the unification of AIR under all platforms, there can no longer be a fragmentation of the audience when this or that web application functionality was unavailable to Linux users. For example, before linuksoidy could not use the Twhirl twitter client, which requires Flash 10. Now all these problems are solved.
