I read this topic here, clicked the link ... And I had a thought. I decided to bring it up for discussion.
In principle, there are many services that do not have representation on the Internet for various reasons (although the main one is understandable). Nevertheless, I personally, would not refuse to receive from them the latest information. These include district police departments, fire departments, ambulance stations, housing offices, etc. etc. They did not have money for it and will not have it for a long time. But with a small amount of goodwill and a desire to do good, it can be easily solved.
That's actually the problem that I would like to discuss in principle.
1. Is this kind of information relevant to you (news about incidents, advice from various services, etc.)? Or is it I generally raise a useless topic?
2. Do I need this most services? Or they and so worries above the roof?
3. Without relying on the state, is it possible to organize an action of aid? Indeed, in principle, it is not difficult - a small hosting, free DMS, a distinct template. Half a day of work, but on the other hand - an advertising opportunity and a plus in karma in a global sense.
4. Or is it easier to organize one common website on which such services could start their own pages?

In general, such a thought. It seems to me interesting (there were also news about St. Petersburg police departments that brought VKontakte pages). But I can be mistaken, and nobody needs it from both sides. In general, I do not know which side to approach this.
