Engineers from General Electric are still geeks. They decided to celebrate Christmas and New Year not under a natural crumbling or ordinary artificial, but under an OLED tree. Said - done . Yesterday, a high-tech tree shone with lights.
In order to concoct their own Christmas tree, for the beginning, GE made a long 4.7-meter OLED panel 15 cm wide. Glowing, as a matter of fact, with a green light. Then it was twisted and secured on a rack with a height of about two meters. It does not look authentic, but it is still gorgeous.

However, the main goal of the comrades from GE (besides the opportunity to dance around their techno-miracle) is to demonstrate the potential of OLED-technologies and the prospects for their use in lighting systems. In my opinion, they succeeded.
