Not so long ago, a group of lovers of beauty has already ported Android to the N8xx tablets. Then the launch of the OS was made from the Internet Tablet OS. Now they were able to move even further - they developed a fundamentally new port that completely replaces the standard OS. The development is based on the Linux kernel from the Maemo project. This is done in order to use all the hardware of the N8xx, in particular the WiFi chip, the driver for which is available only in the Maemo core. The port is called Android-N810 and fully supports features such as WiFi, touch screen, sound, memory cards and other pleasant and useful nonsense in everyday business.
