Safari and Chrome
shared the last place in the ranking for the best password manager among all browsers, in terms of security. These browsers failed 19 of the 21 parameters that were tested during testing, and received an overall rating of "two". The main problem is that they have not fixed a
serious bug that was discovered for Firefox two years ago. This bug allows an attacker to obtain passwords from the browser using a special element on a web page. It is valid for all browsers, but Safari has not been fixed, but Chrome was released on the same WebKit engine as Safari.
Internet Explorer passed the test for the “top five” (5 out of 21), and Opera 9.62 and Firefox 3.0.4 were the leaders: they comply with safety standards in 7 of 21 parameters.
