And again: how to store your passwords? The answer is simple: CLIPPERZ!

This topic periodically rises to Habré, and there are many opinions to which everyone can listen and choose something acceptable for themselves.
I spent a lot of time trying one thing, then the other, until I stopped at the clipperz service.
The only paranoid thought persecuted all the time was that keeping the passwords dear to my heart on the server - to put it mildly, “Don't ice!”. Well, good uncles send me to meet - meet - Clipperz Community Edition!

The functionality is completely analogous.
Now you can install it on your own server! What I did immediately. And now I have been using 3-4 months for my pleasure. Provided with a convenient installer. It is only necessary to create a database in MySql, and then enter the login-password for access to the database, as well as its name, in the config file. Everything! Run the installer and have a ready service.
You can change the design, add Russian support to the interface, embed in your own project.
The software has AGPL v3 open source license.
Download here.

It was tested on Ubuntu + PHP5 + MySql (Also, it seems, 5) + of course, Apache2. IIS did not start ... Probably, there was not enough brains.

By the way, it is possible that everything will work, you will need to install the php-bcmath package and set the magic_quotas_gps - On parameter in the php.ini settings file.

For those who ask what clipperz is, I can advise to go to the website clipperz.com, register. There is nothing complicated. However, the site has a fairly detailed help.

What does he (clipperz) allow you to do:
1. Store usernames and passwords from sites.
2. To create a page with links to these sites, clicking on which, the system will automatically enter the site without entering the login password manually. This is especially convenient in Firefox and Opera, where this page can be opened in the side tab.
3. Save this page in an encrypted form locally (used similarly, the minus is that you can not change the content).
4. Keep logins, passwords, numbers, etc., etc., etc., that you just do not care.

For myself, I consider the second feature to be the most valuable.
