Why won't Apple make its OS freely marketed as Windows?
I constantly ask myself this question when news pops up about how someone hacked MacOS that Apple sued pseudo poppies and so on.
Therefore I would like to discuss this topic.
After all, Apple would only benefit from this, because many people bought, downloaded and installed MacOS and worked with it. ')
What prevents the Apple from doing so? Is it really just marketing purposes (an elite product should not be available for the majority) or something completely different?
UPD What about Mac OS X Leopard Server? Is it put only on Makovsky iron?
