Spamhaus, a well-known trash fighter, has
identified the most malicious spammers of the North American and European Internet.
The first in the top ten is a resident of Ukraine, Alexei Polyakov (nicknames Alex Blood, Alexander Mosh, AlekseyB, Alex Polyakov), a “black spammer” from the underworld of the web, who is suspected of managing botnets, distributing child porn, and advertising drugs and mortgage loans.
It is followed by a "friend" Leonid Kuvaev (photo

Spamtest magazine , in October 2005, Kuvaev fled after a court in Massachusetts when his group was fined $ 37 million for spamming activities. Since then, he has been hiding from justice - according to unverified data, in Russia.

In addition, in the ranking of 10 "fiends" there are three more Russians - one Pavka (probably a spammer of the Kuvaev group), Ruslan Ibragimov and Alexey Panov. Their company "diluted" residents of Israel, Hong Kong, USA and Canada.
Spamhaus notes that the number of identified spam bridgeheads, and there are more than 2,000, is leading the United States. In second place is China, followed by Japan and Russia. Speaking about the Russian providers responsible for spam hosting, the organization calls mtu.ru, comstar.ru, naukanet.ru, obninsk.org.
Experts note that 80% of all garbage messages, sends a very small circle of people, which includes about two hundred people. According to the head of the anti-spam company Outblaze, currently for every 100,000 legitimate emails there are a million spammers, reports
Kompyulenta . That is, the number of the latter is more than ten times.
Kaspersky Lab has similar
results . The first half of 2006 ended for Runet on an unexpectedly high indicator of the share distribution of spam in mail traffic - just over 80% of the total mail volume, according to Anna Vlasova from Laboratories. July, the beginning of the third quarter showed similarly high rates - 80% of the total traffic volume with “spikes” up to 90%. Only in the last third of August, the share of spam in Runet dropped to 70%, and since then it has fluctuated between 70% and 80%, with individual “bursts” above 80%.
