The Google Map Maker tool for editing cartographic information from Google Maps is now extended to 43 more countries. Thus, from now on, residents of 164 countries of the world can supplement and correct maps. The list does not include the USA, Europe, and from the territory of the former USSR there are only republics of the Caucasus and Central Asia. Apparently, he does not need to edit the rest of Google maps yet (are they really of good enough quality?).
In general, Google Map Maker is a very useful service that allows you to correct and update maps. Google has reasonably decided that only the users themselves can add maps to the most accurate state, because the same city maps are constantly changing. No company can do this work by itself.
As an example, you can watch a small video under Habrakat, which shows how residents of Islamabad (Pakistan) worked on a map of their city.
