Chrome comes out of beta

Google Vice President Marissa Meier officially announced the imminent release of Google Chrome from the status of the beta version.

Obviously, immediately after this, the share of Chrome will increase dramatically. The fact is that now there is a large reservoir of potential users who are ready to switch to Chrome, but who are unable to do this precisely because of the formal status of beta. For example, such requirements are in many large corporations, as well as in OEM assemblers, who are already eagerly waiting for the go-ahead to start pre-installing Chrome on new PCs . Most likely, it will be installed immediately bundled with the Google Toolbar and all the settings for Google Apps. Expansion will begin in January 2009, that is, in a month.

Google’s plans should most upset Microsoft, because in the future, Chrome could replace the fragmented Microsoft application software with a centralized system. For example, using the open system Native Client, developers can create for Chrome any software applications that normally work offline.
