The audience of all video sites on the Internet continues to grow rapidly. Over the last year in the USA it has increased by one and a half times, and in Russia, probably, by three to five times. The undisputed leader is
YouTube , which controls about half of the market.
In October 2009, the number of visitors to YouTube broke another record. In a month,
100 million people came to watch videos (this is a unique monthly audience in the United States, according to comScore). The total monthly audience of all video services amounted to 147 million people or 77% of the total Internet audience.
For a month, Americans watched 13.5 billion videos, including 5.4 billion on Youtube. On average, each accounts for 92 videos per month (9 minutes of video per day).
